Coming Home to Yourself: Inner Child Healing Through Hypnotherapy
Deep within each of us lives a younger version of ourselves — a part we may have silenced, forgotten, or outgrown. Yet this inner child still holds the keys to many of our most persistent emotional patterns. Through the gentle, powerful process of hypnotherapy, we can reconnect with this sacred part of ourselves and begin the profound journey of healing.
Hypnotherapy is a doorway into the subconscious mind — the part of you that stores emotional imprints, unprocessed memories, and core beliefs. It’s here, beneath the surface of our everyday awareness, that many of our struggles are rooted. Whether it's anxiety, procrastination, people-pleasing, or feeling like you don’t quite belong, the origin is often found in early experiences that shaped how you see yourself and the world.
What Is Inner Child Healing?
Inner child healing invites you to return to the very first moment you felt a particular emotion — often a moment so subtle your adult mind may have dismissed it. In a safe and guided hypnotherapy session, you’ll gently revisit this early experience, often linked to a caregiver or early relationship, and begin to tend to the wound that formed.
What’s revealed isn’t blame — it’s insight. Awareness. Compassion. You’ll begin to understand where your self-protective patterns came from — and how to lovingly release them.
You’ll also learn to re-parent yourself so that you have a safe and secure connection with your inner mother and inner father- your inner family. These new parental figures will be an essential source of love, safety, protection, compassion and guidance for your inner child.
The Four Core Wounds
Many of the emotional patterns we carry stem from one or more of the following core wounds. Understanding them is a powerful step toward integration and healing:
1. The Abandonment Wound
You fear being left, feel alone even in a crowd, and often attach to emotionally unavailable partners. There may be a pattern of pushing people away before they can leave — all in an effort to protect your heart.
2. The Guilt Wound
You feel undeserving or ashamed, struggle to ask for help, and carry the weight of responsibility for others’ emotions. Boundaries are difficult, and you may find yourself manipulated by guilt — often without realizing it.
3. The Trust Wound
You struggle to feel safe, both in yourself and in your relationships. You may need frequent reassurance or validation, and find yourself expecting betrayal, even when there's no sign of it.
4. The Neglect Wound
You may feel unseen, undervalued, or unworthy. This often shows up as low self-esteem, trouble expressing your emotions, or attracting people who don’t truly appreciate who you are.
How These Wounds Show Up in Everyday Life
These wounds often shape the way we move through the world. You might struggle with:
Anxious or avoidant relationship styles
Perfectionism or fear of failure
Chronic procrastination
People-pleasing or difficulty saying no
Fear of rejection or deep sensitivity to criticism
Hyper-independence or co-dependency
Feeling like you don’t belong — with family, friends, or in community
Cycles of depression, anxiety, or emotional burnout
Self-soothing through overeating, overspending, substance use, or other unhelpful patterns
These behaviors are not flaws — they are adaptations. They are your inner child’s way of trying to feel safe in an unpredictable world.
What Happens in a Hypnotherapy Session?
In your session, you’ll enter a relaxed state where your subconscious mind becomes accessible. With compassion and care, we’ll revisit the root of your pain — not to relive it, but to reclaim your power from it. You’ll meet your inner child, begin a dialogue, and offer them the love, safety, and validation they may have never received.
We’ll also invite your “inner parents” — the wise, nurturing aspects of you — to step forward and create new, loving dynamics. This process of re-parenting is where lasting healing begins.
Between sessions, you’ll receive guided journaling prompts, energy healing tools, and embodied practices to support your transformation and help anchor new patterns in your daily life.
What Can You Expect to Shift?
True healing takes time — not because you’re broken, but because you’re remembering. Reclaiming. Rewiring. That said, many clients begin to notice shifts after just one or two sessions:
Procrastination or resistance: often clears after 1–2 sessions
Attachment issues or low self-esteem: tend to resolve with 3–4 sessions
Deeper emotional wounds (depression, addiction, abandonment): typically require 5+ sessions to unravel and re-pattern
This is not a quick fix. It’s soul work. But as you meet yourself with grace and consistency, you’ll begin to see real change — not just in how you feel, but in how you live, love, and relate to the world.
You Are the Medicine
